L’ORCHESTRA SINFONICA TOSTI Città di Ortona (OST) nasce dall’esperienza di formazione dell’Orchestra I GIOVANI ACCADEMICI, ereditandone la produzione e il curriculum artistico.

Come OIGA, l’ensemble si era già esibito per importanti istituzioni e rassegne musicali regionali: Teatro “F. P. Tosti” – Ortona (Ch), Teatro Comunale “A. Di Jorio” – Atessa (Ch), Settimana Mozartiana – Chieti, Estate Musicale Frentana – Lanciano (Ch), Vasto Film Festival – Vasto (Ch), Teatro Marrucino di Chieti.

Sono stati inoltre invitati al prestigioso Festival GEZZIAMOCI 2013, 2014 e 2015 a Matera e Melfi, figurando in cartellone con artisti di fama internazionale, come Paolo Fresu, Rita Marcotulli, Triluk Gurtu, gli Area, Danilo Rea.Nel 2013 vincono il I Premio come Migliore Orchestra e il Gran Prix come migliore Ensemble assoluto al Concorso CHORUS INSIDE INTERNATIONAL – V Edizione a Chieti.

Sempre nel 2013 sono ospiti del Workshop Classic Ensemble “Dal laboratorio al Teatro” su invito dell’Estate Musicale Frentana e delle Regione Abruzzo nell’ambito del progetto ARCHEOS registrando un cd e un dvd live.

Hanno collaborato con il coro di Voci Bianche I MUSICI MARRUCINI, il Coro BUTTERFLY, I CANTORI DI ORTONA, LA COMPAGNIA DELL’ALBA, ACCADEMIA DELLO SPETTACOLO di Ortona (Ch).

Nel luglio 2014 sono stati invitati dall’Ambasciata Italiana a Bruxelles e dall’A.N.E.A. a tenere una serie di concerti in Belgio in occasione dell’apertura del Semestre di Presidenza Italiana dell’Unione Europea.

Nel 2015, nel 2016, nel 2017 e nel 2018 l’Associazione ha curato la stagione dei concerti del Teatro F. P. Tosti di Ortona (Ch). Dal 2019 collabora con LA COMPAGNIA DELL’ALBA alla stesura del cartellone dei Concerti per la Stagione Teatrale del Teatro F. P. TOSTI di Ortona.

Sempre nel 2015 sono stati invitati dalla Regione Abruzzo ad aprire la Settimana del Protagonismo Abruzzese a Milano EXPO 2015 nella splendida cornice del Salone degli Affreschi di Società Umanitaria.

Nel 2016 e nel 2017 sono stati l’orchestra del GRAN GALA DEL MUSICAL sotto la regia di Fabrizio Angelini.

Nel 2017 partecipano al YOUNG BOHEMIA FESTIVAL in Praga (Rep. Ceca) esibendosi presso la Chiesa di San Nicholas e presso la Mayakovsky Hall della National House Vinhorady, conseguendo in tale occasione il GOLD LEVEL (unica orchestra italiana).

Dal 2018 e nel 2019 l’OIGA si presenta come OST in occasione del Festival di Castelfidardo (An) LA FISARMONICA NEL MONDO su invito del M° Renzo Ruggieri come orchestra ufficiale del Festival.

Hanno scritto per loro compositori come: A. Cericola, R. Ruggeri, C. Chiacchiaretta, W. Gaeta.

Hanno collaborato con importanti solisti e attori: M. Placido, C. Chiacchiaretta, A. Kurti, R. Ruggeri, D. Orlando.

L’Orchestra ha all’attivo tre dischi.

The TOSTI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Città di Ortona (OST) was born from the training experience of the YOUNG ACADEMIC Orchestra, inheriting its production and artistic curriculum. Like OIGA, the ensemble had already performed for important institutions and regional music reviews: Theater “F. P. Tosti ”- Ortona (Ch), Municipal Theater“ A. Di Jorio ”- Atessa (Ch), Mozart Week – Chieti, Frentana Musical Summer – Lanciano (Ch), Vasto Film Festival – Vasto (Ch), Marrucino Theater of Chieti. They were also invited to the prestigious GEZZIAMOCI Festival 2013, 2014 and 2015 in Matera and Melfi, appearing on the bill with internationally renowned artists, such as Paolo Fresu, Rita Marcotulli, Triluk Gurtu, the Area, Danilo Rea. Best Orchestra and the Grand Prix as the best ensemble overall at the CHORUS INSIDE INTERNATIONAL Competition – V Edition in Chieti. Also in 2013 they were guests of the Classic Ensemble Workshop “From the laboratory to the Theater” at the invitation of the Frentana Music Summer and the Abruzzo Region as part of the ARCHEOS project, recording a live CD and DVD. The MUSICI MARRUCINI, the BUTTERFLY Choir, I CANTORI DI ORTONA, LA COMPAGNIA DELL’ALBA, ACADEMY OF THE SHOW of Ortona (Ch) have collaborated with the White Voices choir. In July 2014 they were invited by the Italian Embassy in Brussels and by the A.N.E.A. to hold a series of concerts in Belgium on the occasion of the opening of the Italian Presidency of the European Union. In 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 the Association oversaw the concert season of the F. P. Tosti Theater in Ortona (Ch). Since 2019 he has collaborated with LA COMPAGNIA DELL’ALBA on the drafting of the program of the Concerts for the Theater Season of the F. P. TOSTI Theater in Ortona. Also in 2015 they were invited by the Abruzzo Region to open the Abruzzese Protagonism Week in Milan EXPO 2015 in the splendid setting of the Salone degli Affreschi of the Humanitarian Society. In 2016 and 2017 they were the orchestra of the GRAN GALA DEL MUSICAL under the direction of Fabrizio Angelini.
In 2017 they participate in the YOUNG BOHEMIA FESTIVAL in Prague (Czech Rep.) Performing at the Church of St. Nicholas and at the Mayakovsky Hall of the National House Vinhorady, obtaining on that occasion the GOLD LEVEL (the only Italian orchestra).
From 2018 and 2019 the OIGA presents itself as OST on the occasion of the Festival of Castelfidardo (An) THE ACCORDION IN THE WORLD at the invitation of Maestro Renzo Ruggieri as the official orchestra of the Festival.
Composers have written for them such as: A. Cericola, R. Ruggeri, C. Chiacchiaretta, W. Gaeta.
They have collaborated with important soloists and actors: M. Placido, C. Chiacchiaretta, A. Kurti, R. Ruggeri, D. Orlando.
The Orchestra has three discs to its credit.
